The American Family Insurance MILWAUKEE 53206 screenings were programmed by the Diversity and Inclusion Manager at American Family Insurance, with headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. The Diversity and Inclusion Manager was actively looking for programming to engage employees in celebration of Black History Month. The goal was to help educate employees on the significant issues facing the communities they serve to improve the level of empathy and communication they provide their customers.
Initially, the film was planned to be screened and programming created for the Madison, WI corporate headquarters only. However, American Family Insurance decided that this was an event that they wanted to offer to employees at five (5) additional satellite offices across the United States. A date was selected, panelists for post-screening discussion chosen, and in the end, the film screened at multiple locations and the panel discussion was simulcast to all participating offices. Additionally, the programming centered around the film featured the following schedule of event:
American Family Insurance “CommuniCon,” wherein, several community organizations were invited to the office to host informational booths on how their organizations offer support and meet the evolving community needs. Employees had the opportunity to sign up for community service opportunities.
