Restoring Identity and Hope for Survivors
Every person deserves the chance to reclaim their identity, dignity, and future. Yet for many survivors of trafficking and abuse, the marks of exploitation remain long after they escape their circumstances. Forced tattoos and branding can become painful reminders of violence, coercion, and lost autonomy.
Through a specialized initiative led by Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, survivors are being given the opportunity to remove these marks and begin a new chapter in their lives.
The program focuses on removing tattoos and branding that traffickers often use to claim ownership over victims. These markings can become barriers to rebuilding life after escape.
